WordPress coming of age
There was a time when web designers could not give a flying f%^K about wordpress. people were always interested in being able to manage their own content thus knocking out the extra wage they would otherwise have to give their web designer. So as web designers we tried to avoid it, well that and wordpress back in the day was really not that great.
It was always great at giving you traffic being a tool that got plenty of google love however it was insecure and on more than one occasion I have myself had a blog or two hacked. Buy hey ho! You learn from that and move on
